Special Shades of Color Receives Prestigious GuideStar Bronze Level Distinction

Special Shades of Color has officially obtained the GuideStar Bronze Nonprofit Profile distinction, signifying the legitimacy and transparency of the organization. GuideStar is the world’s largest source of information about nonprofit organizations and is a leader in advancing transparency in the nonprofit sector. This level demonstrates the organization’s deep commitment to nonprofit transparency and accountability.

“It is our goal that the public, not only know that we exist, but know that we are also doing valuable and tangible work within the special needs community. We are now able to connect with grantmakers and individual donors by sharing important and updated information about our work,” says Founder and Executive Director, DeJuana Golden.

In order to be awarded the GuideStar logo, Special Shades of Color had to complete every required field of the group’s nonprofit profile page on: https://www.guidestar.org/profile/46-5184808

“We are a non-profit committed to improving the mental and emotional health of special needs parents through the power of storytelling and wellness tools. We welcome everyone to visit our profile and see our work, our leadership, and our accountability measures as we expand and grow our impact,” states DeJuana Golden.
